Idyllically located on the waters edge in lush, sub-tropical gardens, this charming villa was first built by a distinguished English family back in 1830 as their private residence. Transformed into a hotel in 1950, it retains a distinctive and almost personal character of its own with many pieces of original fine art and antique furniture which enrich its classical ambiance. The hotel has its own fine shingle beach directly below and the bay of Mazzarò is the perfect natural swimming pool. Within 200 mts. is the cable car which transports guests up to the ancient village of Taormina with its renowned Greek Roman Theatre. The 78 bedrooms, junior suites and suites are airconditioned with bath or shower, WC, satellite TV, direct-dial telephone, safe, minibar, most of them with sea view, balcony or terrace.
