A small romantic suburb composed of three structures: the Grand Hotel Archduca, inspired by the Austrian Archduke Luigi Salvatore. Precisely here, where the splendour of Hapsburg style is married to late '800's Sicilian style, a royal summer palace has been given life. The rooms are elegant, the service is refined, and the halls are warm and inviting. There is a terraced restaurant which looks out upon the heated swimming pool with hydro-massage, all steeped in Mediterranean colours and fragrances. In addition, there is a solarium, work-out gym and games room which all complete the portrait of a comfortable holiday in Lipari. Just a few footsteps away is the Marina Corta square, a fishermen's port and hydrofoil berth, and only 2 minutes on foot brings one to the little Portinente beach. Shopping is but 3 minutes away, found amongst the boutiques and small, colourful shops. For a little culture, instead, one may take a 5 minute trip to visit the Castle of Lipari, with its museum, archaeological park and cathedral with an accompanying cloister.
