The Hotel Colomba is situated in a famous building with a rich history. In the mid-nineteenth century the Caffè Michelangelo was the meeting place for young artists - such as Giovanni Fattori, Telemaco Signorini, Silvestro Lega - who founded the Macchiaioli movement. A special plaque on the facade commemorates this important artistic event. Nowadays on street level you will find an exhibition of Leonardo da Vinci's machines. Original paintings and prints in the rooms, hallways and breakfast area add a warm touch. The varied, and rich buffet changes from time to time. Enjoy the excellent coffee and teas.
