Description:
The building, the ancient Barocci palace built in the 19th century on the command of Pellegrino Orefice, is constructed on the site of one of Venice's seven opera houses, the Teatro Sant'Angelo, which opened in 1676. From 1714 onwards, Vivaldi staged many operas there. Careful and skillful renovation has restored it to its former glory, paying maximum attention to comfort and atmosphere. The 44 rooms, of which eleven are suites, are very quiet and comfortable and many have views over the Grand Canal. Guests can access the hotel from the nearby Sant'Angelo waterbus stop on the Grand Canal.
