Sado Estalagem do Sado is a XIX century small palace on the edge of Setubal. This has been an important fishing port since the first century. After the Moorish invasions in the fourth century, it declined and the port silted up. There is a restaurant serving local dishes and international cuisine together with a bar with an outdoor terrace. Stratagem do Sad has facilities to hold conferences including a meeting room and an auditorium for up to 500 people, with modern and sophisticated audio-visual equipment. Located on the south bank of the River Tagus is the naturally stunning Costa Azul, which boasts five golf courses. The intimate atmosphere of the region, its easy access to Lisbon and the choice of championship courses will tempt golfers. Within easy reach of the hotel is Clube de Golf do Montado in Palmela and the Golf da Quinta do Peru. Near Fonte da Telha beach is the Aroeira Clube de Campo de Portugal I & II, comprising two of the best golf courses in Europe.
