This l9th century château stands in a 4 acre park in a wooded loop of the river. It allies traditional alsatian architecture: half-timbering, sand stone, flowered balconies, and terraces at the water's edge, with modern comforts. 58 rooms and 4 apartments between the château itself (4 rooms, 2 apartments, and 1 duplex), and the various buildings in Alsatian style architecture connected to the Chateau (54 rooms and 1 suite). Halfway between Strasbourg and its international airport, it is a good place for a restful stay a base from which to visit the region, and to do business from. Our chef, Jean Ferriz, welcomes you at the 'Chateau de l'île and offers you a menu with dishes of the regional and traditional kitchen, in 3 rooms, with sight on the river and the forest, able to cater for up to 95 people. At the beautiful season, you will appreciate the lunch on the terrace at the edge of water.
